Change your thinking, change your life

Change is hard, I just found out how hard…
I started reading The Wim Hof Method about a week ago and it talks about the benefits of a cold shower every day - I thought I would give it a try - after all (a) how hard could it be and (b) why bother reading a book and not trying what they recommend (NB, I absolutely HATE the cold and especially cold water (picture me “dancing” around a swimming pool for 10 mins before jumping in scenarios), this could genuinely be one of my worst nightmares / fobias).
I found every excuse to delay my shower, but eventually did it, and with the lovely warm water flowing over me, I proceeded to find every excuse (procrastination?) under the sun, of why a cold shower was stupid, what does Wim Hof know after all (years of research!), I’ve managed 47 years without a cold shower, why start now…..

I turned the shower cold and gasped, got a little bit used to it, then turned it colder and gasped a lot more, flipping heck, this is uncomfortable, what a stupid idea…..
I get out of the shower and feel quite warm, then proceed to feel warmer all day and then had a hugely productive day with a much clearer head - perhaps Wim knows a thing or two
Perhaps change and trying something new can be ok, after all, I have spent my life coaching others to try something new, to step outside of their comfort zone - today I was reminded again of how hard change can be, and this was something relatively simple - BUT it is possible if we set our minds to it and the benefits are always significant.

What changes might you need to make in your life, starting today......perhaps it is a relationship which needs extra effort or focus, perhaps a destructive secret habit that needs breaking, perhaps you need to get out of a rut in your job / exercise routine / eating habits..... Whatever it is, know one thing - all change is hard at first, messy in the middle and gorgeous at the end, so make the change today to get started and start experiencing the gourgeousness at the end of the change.
Many guests have found the confidence, ability and inspiration to make a change and find freedom from a destructive seret habit by joining the 28 day RESET challenge - perhaps this could be your ticket to freedom and living your dream life again.
