Follow your intuition and listen to your heart

10 steps to change your life - step 7.  If you want to change your life, you have to listen to your intuition and follow your heart. There are just too many distractions out there. Never let the outer voice drown out your inner voice. 

My guess is, many times you've come across a situation where someone tells you that you are not good enough or tells you to do this or that because it seems to fit you better.  Perhaps you were told as a kid that you would never amount to anything or wodl not get very far becasue of an addiction or destructive habit.  NEVER listen to them, instead, follow your heart and intuition. 

 

Choose to listen to yourself and your inner voice. What do YOU want to do and who do YOU want to become? 

If people feel that you did not do well academically and they suggested you work in this place or that place, don’t buy in, because if you do, you will be living other people’s reality and letting their opinion determine your life. 

Choose to believe in yourself and do what you want

If you failed in school, that does not mean that you cannot do well in life - listen to your intuition rather than letting others pointing your life and telling you what to do. If you are struggling with an addiction or destructive habit - that does not need to define you, if you let it, it can be the thing which propels you to greatness - by harnessing the power of your adversity towards your passions and purpose in life

Never let people’s opinion of you becomes your reality

You can take it into consideration and as a suggestion, but don't feel obliged to live up to someone else's expectations or live someone else's opinion as your reality.   Instead, listen to yourself and your heart. 

Follow your heart. Listen to your inner voice. What do you truly want? What kind of change do you want in life? 

Aagghh but my head is fried / mushed / swamped / confused - I don't know what I want

If your head feels like it is not in the right space to help you, and by the way, I have been here many times, so I know what this feels like, take action TODAY to start taking steps to get your head clear, for some this might mean blocking out the negative voices around you, for others it might mean stopping the addiction of choice - after all, if our mind is drunk / high / full of negative thoughts or images - we will struggle to get any semblance of clarity.

  1. Never let other people’s opinions of you become your reality. You should be the one who creates your own reality because this is your life. 
  2. If you want to make a change and be different, you have to follow your heart. 
  3. Find out exactly what you want to accomplish in life - what is your passion, what motivates you, what do you love doing?
